Water, as we all know is a very valuable natural resource available to the mankind. And, of the whole water available on this planet Earth, only 3% is drinkable. Hence water conservation is the need of the hour and it has always been. One of the major reasons of high water usage in any household is inefficient toilet flushes.

An average household with a normal toilet flush consumes about 30% of the total water usage. This percentage is quite large and it amounts to a huge amount at the end of the year. Hence, there arises a need to replace inefficient toilet flushes with efficient ones.

The one which fits the bill is Sustainable Dual-Flush Toilet. A sustainable dual flush toilet works in two modes, the two different modes being for solid and liquid wastes. An average toilet flush uses 12 litres of water in a single flush irrespective of the type of waste. Whereas, a dual flush toilet has two buttons which decide the amount of water required(Recumbent Exercise Bikes) to flush depending upon the type of waste.

The water used in case of liquid waste is around .8 to 1.1 gallons per flush and for solid waste, it is around 1.6 gallons. Hence, a lot of water is saved.
