Stress

If you’re anything like most people, you find yourself in a mad dash from the time you arise until the time you go to bed. Individuals today are busy all the time and this adds to tension, but stress can be kept under control and handled better with some planning of daily regimes as well as in life in general. First of all, you have to understand that it’s okay to say no as so often people will over-extend themselves themselves because they feel embarrassed about saying no when someone asks something of them. Most individuals are afraid of saying to no for the fear of hurting the other person or being misconstrued as being rude, but what occurs finally is that by not saying no, they land up at a situation where there is no time to call their own.

Individuals fail to keep track of their own priorities and over-commit to the extent that they nearly bend over backwards to please others, neglecting their own intrinsic needs. How many times have you been so busy that you missed lunch? Do you make time to physical exercise? If this applies to you, sit down and make two lists. Number one, list out the things, which are most essential to you in order of priority, and the second list should carry all your activities through out the day. Now cross-check and equate the 2 lists, and if they do not match, you would need to make some major modifications and take some time off for that you are.

Here are a few ways that you can handle your tension:
